If the proposed legislation, House Bill 2012 passes. It was introduced by a tea party favorite, State Rep. Debbie Riddle. The bill would make hiring an illegal alien a crime punishable by up to two years in prison and a $10,000 fine unless they were hired to do household chores.

Apparently if you are wealthy enough to hire a maid, someone to cook for you and take care of your yard or your horses then you would be exempt from punishment. Guess Texas knows who makes the law there.
